Westmoreland hit! Lucky player scoops $71 million Lotto jackpot
One lucky Lotto player from Westmoreland has struck gold, scooping the massive $71 million Lotto jackpot, the first big win for the year, after matching all six numbers 06, 20, 28, 32, 35 and 36 in Wednesday night's draw on January 21.
The life-changing ticket was bought at I And I Souvenir & Things in Westmoreland, turning the quiet location into instant Lotto history.
While the identity of the new multimillionaire remains a mystery, Supreme Ventures says the winner has 90 days to claim the prize. To cash in, the ticket must be signed and presented along with a valid national ID at the Supreme Ventures Flagship Store at Twin Gates Plaza on Constant Spring Road, St Andrew.
The jackpot win breaks a short dry spell. Lotto was hit three times in 2025, including a whopping $229 million win by a Kingston player in August, followed by $57 million and $31 million jackpots claimed by players in St Catherine and Manchester in October.
For now, Westmoreland is celebrating, and somewhere in the parish, one person is staring at a ticket worth $71 million, deciding just how life is about to change.
